Toyota 86 ZN6

Toyota announced the release of "86" compact rear wheel drive sports car in 2012.

The newly developed horizontally opposed FA20 engine, which provide 200

horsepower (PS), adopted D-4S twin injection system. The D-4S system adjusts itself accordingly switching direct cylinder injection off and on depending on the engine speed. And the FA20 engine is installed front mid-ship.

The 86 is fitted with a 6 speed manual transmission and 6 speed SPDF automatic transmission.

The line-up includes the standard G grade ; the luxury GT grade, which includes projector-type discharge headlights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob and parking brake lever, and an aluminum pedal; the GT "Limited" grade, which adds seat coverings made of leather and Alcantara, and a rear spoiler; as well as the RC grade, which is suitably customizable for serving as a base vehicle for racing.

2014.04 : To improve operation stability and comfort, suspension have been tuned. As for interior and exterior, the shark fin type roof antenna was adopted, and the instrument panel design was changed (GT, GT "Limited").

2015.02 : Changed a characteristic of the power steering and strengthened body rigidity

2015.07 : 86 GT yellow limited version and 86 GT yellow limited version Aero-package were introduced.
